Presenter: Bob Pitman
Mr. Pitman served as Executive Director of Mill Race Center for 29 years, retiring at the end of 2014 after 20 years of planning and a six year capital campaign raising $8.5 million that resulted in the opening Mill Race Center in February 2011; former Indiana Senior Center Association president and Chairperson of the NISC Delegate Council from 2006-2008.
Co-presenter: Marilyn Clerc
Ms. Clerc currently serves as the Executive Director of Just Friends, Inc. a health and social model adult daycare center with transportation and caregiver support services, and current President of the Board of the Indiana Day Services Association with a background in healthcare human resources and not for profit organizational development; collaborative experience helping to design Adult Day space in Mill Race Center.
This will be a roundtable session where conference participants are invited to share their successes and challenges in serving participants needing a higher level of physical or cognitive support (those eligible for adult daycare), including those with short term memory loss, dementia, etc.), or those with developmental disabilities, mental health needs and other needs within their senior centers.
